Facility

In August 2005 WePackit relocated to its present facility, jumping from 40,000 SF to 97,000 SF.  This enabled us to expand all departments and provide an environment with better materials flow, with more space to work and test comprehensive automation lines.  Our office space has expanded to 11,700 SF giving Engineering, Sales and Manufacturing Departments a healthy work environment.

Aside from purchased components, over 95% of the typical machine’s components are created in-house.  Our facility has given WePackit the efficiency to operate where standardization, parts consolidation and reduced expediting needs translate to cost savings.  These cost savings are passed to the customer, which contribute to the typical short R.O.I.

 Assembly
Our Assembly Department operates in a 40,000SF portion of the plant area.  This space is dedicated for mechanical assembly & wiring, while 18,000SF is allocated for line testing and turnkey line integration.  Our R&D Department conducts tests and proof of principles in their 2,000SF area of the plant.

Machine Shop
The 5,800SF Machine shop features multiple mills, lathes and CNC machines.  This enables us to control the manufacturing of high precision parts in-house, thus ensuring quality.  Our CNC machines allow us to produce high volumes of precision parts, which means additional cost savings for the customer.

Fabrication Area

The 30,600SF Fabrication Shop is where raw materials are cut, welded and painted.  The use of jigs ensure repeatability, and a variety or welding processes ensure robust components.  Equipment such as plasma cutters, shears, iron workers, and brakes offer a variety of methods to manipulate metal.

Within the Fabrication Shop is a 1,900SF Paint Room.  This room contains two individual spray booths that are dedicated for small parts and large frames.  This gives WePackit control of paint quality, which directy affects the machine’s ability to stand up to its harsh environments over time.

Stockroom
Our 4,500 SF stock room is where we house many of our manufactured and purchased components.  This helps with the reaction time when emergency parts are needed, and it provides a place to keep many of our manufactured components that are created in large volumes for economies of scale.  Lastly, years of experience has enabled us to consolidate many parts.  For example, one particular part can be found in 4 different machines, which means more savings that are passed on to the customer.
